I work with choreography and installation to stage anti-linear, iconoclastic collages made of meticulously layered up errors and confused erotics. I’m interested in movement that plays with its mistakes, leaves a little bit of doubt at all time, is vulnerable.
My performances often take place within installations in which sculptures and costumes become props and movement activators.
My work often involves an anticlimactic use of new media driven by a wish to mock the ‘sex appeal’ of digital devices. Video, antifunctional gadgets or displays standing in the way of performance’s action — ridicule the ways in which they attempt to organize and subjugate attention within the economy that capitalizes on it and treats it as scarce.
